Overdue Process

We encourage you to talk to us if you cannot afford your rental payments. Please call us and discuss your options, we are here to help.

NOTIFICATIONS Keep you email address up to date as we make notifications by email.
We send regular email reminders if your account becomes overdue.
We always encourage you to talk to us. If you are struggling to pay we will try and help if we can.
Our emails inform you that you can log onto your account on our website anytime and update your payment methods to a new one.
We also make it clear that we make charges if your bill is not paid and when these charges will be applied.
14 DAYS OVERDUE When your bill becomes 14 days overdue, we restrict access to your unit until we have heard from you or until you have paid your bill.
We charge an 'overlocking restriction' fee at this stage of £45 to cover the cost of administration of your overdue account and the overlocking process.
21 DAYS OVERDUE If your account remains overdue or still has any unpaid fees after 21 days of your original bill falling due, we will enter your unit and assess the cost of clearing your items.
We will also add a further 'assessment charge' of £55 to your outstanding bills to cover the cost of the assessment.
We continue to remind you by email that your bill is overdue and we also attempt to contact you by letter, phone, text and whatsapp.
28 DAYS OVERDUE We give you a FINAL WARNING that on 30 days overdue, we will dispose of your items.
30 DAYS OVERDUE We will take possession of your items and dispose of them.
This means your items can never be retrieved. We use waste disposal and clearance companies to clear your items, then add the costs to your final bill and apply to the courts for payment.
Court acction is very costly. Solicitors and courts charge high fees and we will again send you notification by email, letter and text explaining the next steps.
